Default Is there a website where I can list a cruise I want to go on and have travel agencies quote their best price?

Four years ago I used such a website and was sucessful in booking a low-cost cruise.

A few travel agents perhaps but not all travel agents. There are something like 50,000 travel agents out there so it would be impossible to compare them all. The best way is to look at the cruise line you choose yourself then check around.

Check out iBtraveling.com and see all the different travel companies, you can call them yourself, of just search the cruise yourself online...just keep the window open for each company if you're ready to actually purchase a cruise. Then do it. After you put your credit card number into a company's web site to make a purchase, for anything, shut down your computer and restart it to be safe.

Keep in mind that a cabin with windows on the bottom floor would seem just like a cabin on an uppder deck with windows. You wouldn't know the difference once you're inside your cabin. Two weeks before you set sail, call the cruise line directly and ask for a free upgrade.

Bring your own snorkel gear to save money.

Also, think about selecting a cruise without too many days at sea, because in my opinion, you'll get plenty of time on board ship at night while you're sailing to the next destination.

Hope this helps. I always book through one of the companies with iBtraveling since they're all well known companies instead of paying a travel agent their percentage.

I also think Carnival has the most fun of cruises while you're on board ship during the day, otherwise, all the other ships are the same at night.

Have fun!
