What is the most inexpensive way to travel with luggage from the LAX airport to the Long Beach cruise port?

I'm planning a trip in July and I don't know if renting a car is an option for the commute. Don't you have to return the car the same place it was rented? Any other ideas? Also please post links so I can compare prices and possibly book something.

you can rent a car for a one way trip...its should cost you about 25.00 to 30.00 bucks.

check with your cruise lines sometime have have made arrangements with shuttle companies or charter bus companies
and if you did rent a car there are no car return offices near
the criuse port

Use one of the shuttles such as Super Shuttle or Prinetime. If you go to their websites, both have a fare estimator feature. My best guess would be $25.00 each or less.
