Default Traveling from downtown Seattle to cruise port?

I will be arriving in Seattle on a Friday evening and leaving for a cruise on Saturday morning. What is the best way to get from the Seattle airport to a downtown hotel and then from downtown to the cruise ports the next morning? Any idea on cost?

There's aren't separate "cruise ports" out of Seattle - ships leave from the waterfront downtown by Pier 66. Closest cross streets would be Blanchard and Western. You can hop a cab or bus from the hotel to the waterfront.

As for getting from the airport to downtown Seattle there's several shuttle bus services - http://www.portseattle.org/seatac/ground/shuttlebus.shtml#shuttle As for rates, just call whichever one you choose as rates vary and change.

Sorry but the answer above is half right. There are two piers used for the cruise industry and they are about a mile and half apart as the seagull flies. One is at the foot of downtown, the across from Harbor Island.

So what cruise line are you on and what pier?

There is a Marriott right across the street from the pier in downtown (Pier 66). Great restaurants in walking distance. Either way you could walk to that one or take a cab to the other to the south.

(Holland America and Princess used the south terminal in the past)

Take a cab to downtown, and then take another cab to the cruise.

If money is an issue, take the 194 from SeaTac to downtown, and then you can walk. Both places are within reasonable walking distances from downtown. Just walk down Pike to the market, then take the series of elevators to Alaskan way and walk north or south, depending on the cruise.

If you have a lot of luggage you should to arrange your pick up in advance. Taxi from airport to Cruise terminal cost about $40.00.
Bus about 25 per person.
When I went to Alaska last year I use town car company:
www.towncarseattle.com
they charge $5.00 more then taxi.
If you want you can try it or do more search .
Regards,
Veronika
