is central america like asia?

im thinking about moving to costa rica but is it like japan because in japan if you werent born ther you cant live ther unless you live with your spouse or have a job that hired you to go ther and you can only go and stay in he contry for vacation a period of 2 months.

so is costa rica like that were your time is limited to live ther or need to have a job ther in order to live ther if you werent born ther?
