traveling to mexico beach FL, any really neat places along the panhandle? I don't want to miss a thing!?

we will be traveling from AR to Mexico Beach FL leaving May 22. I was wanting to know of any really neat places along the way or at Mexico beach. Like lagoons or any little neat stops, off dirt roads or wherever. I want to make the most out of our trip. any suggestions would be greatly recieved! thanks in advance

Drive South to St. Joesph Peninsula State Park, it's only 35 miles from Mexico Beach and you won't regret it. This is an isolated beach, visited only by persons who know it's here. Several years ago it was rated as one of the best beachs in the US.

On the way there, stop in Port St. Joe for a tour of the Florida Constitutional Museum. This is a really neat museum, several animated scenes.

On your trip from Arkansas, if you travel near Marianna, stop off at the Florida Caverans State Park. Florida actually has a caveran that rivals other states best.

A three hour drive to the West is Pensacola is the Naval Air Museum. This is one of the best short of Wright-Patterson in Ohio. Pensacola Naval Air Station, where the museum is located is also the home of the Blue Angels.
