Central America?

What is the best area to live in Central America ? I read alot about crime and what nots.If you live there now,I would like the whole truth. Thank you

Cuba dont like Americans
Mexico has alot of crimes

I probably know the answer to this question better than anyone in here. Because I have lived in Central America for about 7 years. The safest country in Central America is Costa Rica. The 2nd and 3rd safest are probably Belize and Panama. The rest are pretty much the same in crime, etc.

Hi, The richest countries of Central America are Costa Rica & Panama (though Panama technically is not a part of Central America). Costa Rica is nice, though to me it seems like a big "town" not very city like. I live in Guatemala, It is a very nice city, though there are crime issues, it is pretty safe in the richer areas; at least I have never been exposed to anything. A plus for Guatemala is that it has a lot of toursitic sites like Antigua & Tikal. I don't like El Salvador, it's to hot, plus it's not very nice for living. Honduras & Nicaragua have little interesting things & Belize has nothing unless you go to the keys.
