Would you rather travel through southern and eastern Utah, or northern New Mexico? Why?

I have a choice of traveling through southern and eastern Utah, or northern New Mexico next week. Which would you choose, and why?

I live in New Mexico, and Northern New Mexico is very beautiful. Especially check out Chama, Taos, and Questa.

Santa Fe is such an awesome city...esp Old Santa Fe and Canyon Road

Albuquerque and the Sandia Mountain Range

Never been to that part of New Mexico. I do know that Monument Valley is one of the most interesting places on earth. I had seen it on tv and in movies, of course, but it was quite an experience to be there. I think that if you are in the neighborhood, and it's an uncrowded neighborhood, it's worht a visit.

You also may be near Arches and Canyonlands, both interesting as well. Moab is a pretty neat place to visit.
