Default I will be traveling to Mexico, with my US passport?

I will be traveling to Mexico, with my US passport however, it indicates that I am a Mexican National (place of birth). When arriving in Mexico, will I be fined or so on, if I identify myself as a US Citizen - Naturalized. Or do I need to get a Mexican passport to enter with out being fined.

Thanks.

You are perfectly legal with your US passport. the problem might be if some official wants to get a mordita (little bite) of your money.
You didn't say if you were driving or flying in. If you're flying in, they will probably be processing so many passengers, they won't even notice your place of birth.

You can use your US passport with no problem whatsoever. I was so nervous the first time I use mine for the same reasons and the immigration guy was very nice to me. He only said: "welcome home" and stamped my passport.

You do not need a Mexican passport. In fact if you do, the US might fine you for every time you use a passport different from the US.

You are not due fine or a mordida, it is perfectly legal and very common.

I became a US citizen in 91 and have been using my US passport to come and go to Mexico many times since then. I have driven through different border towns. I have flown to different cities including Mexico City, Cancun, Monterrey, etc. with no problem at all.
