I want to crew on a sailboat that needs more hands. central america pacific coast is preferred area.?

I was also thinking of doing a boat-sitting thing (Security and maintenance duties) down in the Costa Rica area sort of like a house sitting function while owners are away from the boat. Anyone have any information at all on this? What port? What Marina? contact numbers?
Guess I needed some details on this according to the only answer received as yet.
My thoughts are simple in regard to life around boats. I have sailed for 35 years in a number of boats although none of the sailing has been long haul trips and I don't have a list of licenses and bonds until I know this is the business and pleasure direction that I want to take. I am going to Costa Rica for 16 days at end of October and I need to know where I should go to check out sailboat life in Costa Rica/Panama. There are a number of different things I can handle along these lines and I am more than an amatuer at most of them.

Why sure... what is your License class and do you have Aux. Sail endorsement?... how many days have you spent on the water, especially 200 miles or more off shore? I know a lot of people who have boats they want security on or help sailing, but they don't want amateurs and they want people with a proven record and are BONDABLE.
