I was also thinking of doing a boat-sitting thing (Security and maintenance duties) down in the Costa Rica area sort of like a house sitting function while owners are away from the boat. Anyone have any information at all on this? What port? What Marina? contact numbers?
Guess I needed some details on this according to the only answer received as yet. My thoughts are simple in regard to life around boats. I have sailed for 35 years in a number of boats although none of the sailing has been long haul trips and I don't have a list of licenses and bonds until I know this is the business and pleasure direction that I want to take. I am going to Costa Rica for 16 days at end of October and I need to know where I should go to check out sailboat life in Costa Rica/Panama. There are a number of different things I can handle along these lines and I am more than an amatuer at most of them. |

Why sure... what is your License class and do you have Aux. Sail endorsement?... how many days have you spent on the water, especially 200 miles or more off shore? I know a lot of people who have boats they want security on or help sailing, but they don't want amateurs and they want people with a proven record and are BONDABLE.
