Traveling to Mexico at 32 weeks?

My best friend since we were in Jr. High is getting married in Nov. in Mexico (both of their families live in mexico) At that point I will be 32 weeks. I am supposed to be her maid of honor. Some people say no international travel in the third trimester but I live in south texas and where her wedding is in relation to where I live is only 3 hours away so I would probably be driving. Is it safe or not? I over heard the staff at my doctors office tell a woman at 34 weeks she could not go to San Antonio which is a two hour drive. So that makes me a little worried that I won't be able to go. I am going to talk to my doctor about this obviously but I kinda want to know soon so I can start to prepare my friend if I probably won't be able to go.

Don't drink the water!

Check with your doctor first. And if you go you will need to stop about every 30 minutes and walk around. This will reduce the chance of blood clots in the legs.
