what is the current passport requirements for traveling to mexico?

you need a passport to travel anywhere outside of the continental usa.. new rules!

i believe as of jan 1st, 2008 you need one to get back into the US. although some would argue with the long lines at customs it might be faster and easier to just jump the fence! ; )

You got 4 just plain stupid answers...beats me why people do this when they simply do not have the info! You MUST have a passpot to FLY to and from Mexico. You do not need a psssport to travel to and from Mexico by LAND or SEA yet...the date had not yet been set, but will be after next summer. i got confused by everything that has been going on in the paper, some say that people above 18 need a passport by january 31 but i read on the paper few weeks later that this was going to be decided until the summer maybe in june or july, if you are flying you will need it
