Im a confused about this whole thing. I want to travel to Mexico in about a week but my friend told me that I need a passport to do so. So I went online and found this info but I dont think Im understanding it. Can you read it and tell me what you think?

This is the part that applies to you: "U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a WHTI-compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate."
The requirement for a passport for land travel between Mexico/US and Canada/US has been postponed; the date of implementation has not been announced. |
