A passport, clothe for warm weather, and bottled water :)

I went last year and it was really fun. Of course you'll need more stuff, but those are some basics.

An airline ticket would be good. And by the way, it's spelled CANCUN. Cancoon is what you get when you go to the Roadkill Market.

Right now all you need is a valid ID and birth cert. OR a passport BUT starting January 1, 2007 you will be required to have a passport along with proper ID (unless they decide to change) I would talk to a travel agent or the airport to make for certain that you need. Cancun is a wonderful vacation and you will feel very welcomed. Watch the folks at the airport and also on the streets "giving away free day trips" NOTHING IS FREE! It is to go view other hotels and do time shares, they say it last 90 minutes but that isn't true. You end up wasting a half day or more. I have been 5 times most recent in August but have never been bullied into that. Just a piece of advice. Have fun and be safe.

You will not need a passport until Jan 1, 2007. Other than that you are good to go. Pack some comfy clothes, suncreen, a camera and some money....off you go!!!!!
