He has a green card. He has been a resident of the US for almost 10 years and we want to go to Reynosa Mexico only for a day trip. What does he need?

The Green Card will allow your husband to return to the US, but is irrelevant in Mexico - he should also carry his passport to document his citizenship.
See the following site for more information: http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/regional/regional_1174.html |

His birth certificate and his green card SHOULD be enough to get him into Mexico (it may depend on which country he was born in and is still a citizen of...) BUT after January 1st. 2007 he WILL need a valid passport to re-enter the US, NO exceptions.......
