where is a nice cheap place to go on vacation in the caribbean and traveling with teens?

we want a nice beach with clear ocean water, saftey, and nightlife.

I suggest you to go to Playa Dorada (very safe) Puerto Plata, north coast of the Dominican Republic, nice weather, big beaches, Ocean World (swim with dolphins) city at 15 min by bus (200.000 souls) great nightlife in and outside Playa Dorada. You could try Trinidad and or Tobago. Trinidad is better for nightlife but Tobago is much better for outdoor stuff like snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, jetskiing. The beaches are allot better in Tobago too. there is one beach i can recommend called Pigeon Point which is very tourist friendly and you wont get hassled by hawkers trying to sell you junk.
The ocean is very beautiful there too. Even if you want to just tread water and enjoy the surroundings rather than doing any activities. lol
