where specifically?
Always dreamt of going to Paris, but i hate the cold and don't know if my four years of french would get my by as far as communication goes. I want to go experience the culture though. If i go to the Caribbean, i want somewhere not so expensive, but id like to go scuba diving and such. |

One place is going to be hot and the other place is going to be cold. It depends what you want. Be more specific.
Paris is wonderful. The food , the culture, art museums.....don't worry about the language as most French people speak English. The further south you go in the Caribbean the warmer it will be. The Dominican Republic is nice and not too expensive. Have a good time were ever you go. |

Europe is cold and cheap (at least airfare is) for the holidays. Try the major hubs, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, London, etc...
The Caribbean is warm and expensive for the holiday. If you can travel before the holidays in December there are great deals to the Caribbean, otherwise rates are high until after Spring Break & Easter. For Caribbean deals look to Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Jamaica & Mayan Riviera. |

In December, Caribbean, no contest!!
For "inexpensive", maybe Belize? Caye Caulker is beautiful [my sister went and loved it - very inexpensive, too]. Especially if you want to scuba [are you certified already?]. Or Roatan? TripAdvisor.com has reviews of hotels/BB's etc, as well as destination guides and forums. |

I don't know where your located but if you travelling on a long haul flight to Europe from i.e canada/US that will be expensive if not places like Malta, Greece, Cyprus will have the best weather.
The Caribbean like the other have advised you, travel before holidays and you could pick up a great bargain Cancun which is on the coastline of the caribbean shore is cheap, also Cuba and The Dominican Republic are the cheapest caribbean Islands you'll find. |
