insist on doing dinner everynight out. If one some of these people are your supervisor and the dinner and drinks are not work related how do you respectfully decline?

I think letting your supervisor know that you need to rest properly before starting over again is nothing to be ashamed of.
A 12 hour day sounds insane to me, and I imagine no one could fault you for needing to crash out. Tell him/her that you wil catch them on a night where you don't have to go to work the next day! |

I would say that I really appreciate the invitation but I'm tired and I would like to be fresh for tomorrow or something like that.
But, you should go out with them sometimes or else you are gonna look antisocial and that's not good either if they are your sups or not. Good luck and don't let them change your mind!, if you tell them you are tired and need to rest, even thought they insist don't change your mind. |
