Parents: Do you travel on business?

Parents: Do you travel on business? Does your job take you away from your family? Do you miss your spouse and children? Do you feel guilty being in a nice hotel while your wife/husband is at home taking care of things while you're away? Tell me what you experience during your business trips.

Per my husband....

he travels for business about 3-4 days every 6 weeks

he doesn't like being away from us

he misses us...and calls home twice a day

he stays in very nice hotels and doesn't feel guilty at all

he likes trying different restaurants & health spas.

Yes, especially since I'm the mom. But I have to work so that we can survive. The longest I have to be gone is a week and it's only like 4 times a year. When I go somewhere fun I pay for them to come for the weekend, hotel is already paid for so it's not too much more and we get a minnie vacation out of it eventhough I work during the day we can do something at night.

both my husband and I have to travel for business. We do miss each other and our kids when we are gone. We will talk several times a day while gone. Usually don't feel guilty about the hotel. He and I will pick on each other about getting to eat at very nice places on the company tab.

We also try to bring our kids back a little something from where we have been. It shows them we really did think about them while we were away.
