Anyone have some good budget tips when travelling around Europe? ANYTHING at all?

Planning a trip around the whole of Europe, for about 6 weeks. Planning on getting a train pass to travel around. Just wanting to know if people have gone to Europe how much (or how little) did you spend, and how'd you do it? did you compromise much?

But beware ... cheap hotels can be trouble some times so check reviews of the hotel you are going to book.

Check the exact location of hotel from google maps.

If you are travelling to Hungary, you can find a list of budget hotels in Budapest here. CE Europe is normally anyway cheap, however there are sometimes ridiculously low prices.
