If not the Navy, then how about the next best thing: Cruise lines? Working on a cruise ship will let you see a lot of territory. The downside for most folks is that you are away for long periods at a time, two or three months. However, it sounds like you might be OK with that. Good luck and I hope you find something you enjoy.

Be careful before you sign up for the navy or any other military service. Most recruits are just out of high school. At 28, you are an older woman to start basic training. Unless you are in tremendous shape, I would say that to struggle, would be an understatement. You are not 18 anymore. You can do whatever you want to do, just be careful what you choose.

There are several professions that let you travel around the world and get paid.
All military position - must be legally able to work in the country. Cruise line - sail the world, although most cruise have a small area that they cover. Flight attendant - Just make sure that you join an international airline. Holiday Rep - Spend a season in each country, or even transfer between countries. Consular work - Very difficult to get good positions. |
