ways to travel on a tight budget...........?

what are some ways to get by travelling around the U.S, (or if possible, the world), for a couple months with only 800 dollars? i'm a female in my twenties and i'd be travelling alone.

Although I really don't think $800 is enough for a few months. Even if you only spend $10 a day on food, most of your money would be gone.

Sorry hun but $800 is not going to get you very far. Start saving up your money, and make it a goal for 2-3 years from now. Or, become a flight attendant, and get paid to travel!

You're going to need more than that. Hostels are a good way to save travel expenses but see as how your traveling by yourself I wouldn't recommend them. My suggestion is get yourself a friend to travel with and save save save.

It depends what you are into and how tough you are. I have been travelling for most of my adult life on a small budget. Sometimes yachts are willing to take inexperienced crew to help out on big trips often for free. So you would be expected to cook meals and help out etc. This method covers a couple of issues, ie accomodation, transport and food. And the yacht will arrive at a place where there are more yachts going to other places so the loop continues. It is also possible to find work that has accomodation and food, etc etc. So yes it is possible. There are heaps of ways to get what you want but sometimes you have to do what you dont want to do so that you can do what you do want to do. Just go for it and you will figure the rest out on the way... hope that this is some help.
