Get the subway right down to the south, get the Staten Island ferry to pass the Statue of Liberty (I know this bit isn't original), then walk all the way back up to Fifth/Times Sq etc, passing Wall Street, Ground Zero, China Town and Little Italy.
We did that on our first day, and it was a great way to see things. Wrap up warm and wear comfy shoes! |
