The highest rating a hotel has in Massachusetts is a Five Star (which is luxurious) and they are: The Four Seasons Hotel (which has been rated a Five Star for several years now) and The Boston Harbor Hotel (rated Five-Star since earlier this year). The new Mandarin Oriental Hotel will be opening up as a Five Star, too. These are the highest rated hotels in Boston, MA.

The Ritz Hotel, & Taj are rated as Four-Star Hotels. The Park Plaza is a Three-Star Hotel. The reason why presidents stay at the Park Plaza Hotel, it is because there isn't a parking lot under the hotel. Nobody can stick a bomb in the parking lot or make a car as a bomb and blow it up. They stay there for "safety" reasons.
