i personally love the new england aquarium, maybe you can check that out--its also very close to quincy market and the boston commons so you can check out those places while you're there...
for shopping, just about every fashion store you can think of is on newbury street also, check out a store called the Garment District--its a second-hand boutique that has a huge pile of clothes that they sell for a dollar a pound---really nice clothes too http://boston.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ/Ya&sdn=boston&cdn=citiestowns&tm=12&gps=60_1177_79 6_427&f=00&tt=14&bt=1&bts=1&zu=http%3A//www.newbury-st.com/ http://www.garment-district.com/ http://www.neaq.org/index.php |

Harvard Square:
The Hempest- clothes made of hemp. Location: The Garage The Proletariat- expensive but cute alternative clothes. Also in The Garage Urban Outfitters Newbury street: Newbury Comics- cute accessories The Hempest- see above American Eagle (a few other places but I'm not too familiar with it) Cambridge: The Garment District!!! Upstairs they have all kinds of clothes, used and new, organized by color (they also have a section devoted to 60s, 70s, and 80s) and downstairs is a costume shop and a huge pile of second-hand clothes that you buy by the pound ($1.50/lb). |
