What are the best things to do in Boston over the 4th of July weekend?

Watch the fire works if you can get near the hat shell. If not watch them over on the MIT side of the Charles River.

I have lived here all my life and I never have gone in for the 4th because it is always wicked crowded.

You should check out the science museum, Fanuel Hall, Qunicy Market, Newbury street, downtown crossing, Boston commons, Freedom Trail.

You can also take a tour of Fenway Park.

You can go to Copley mall and Pruential. Just so you know though the John Hancock no longer has the observatory tower they took it out after 9/11. The Prudential has one though.
