Default Nice and affordable hotel in Boston?

I'm looking for a nice/afford. hotel in Boston, close to Harvard. Any good experiences anyone?

A plus if you give me more than one choice, if you tell me the price ranges, and details on transportation to/from Harvard that you recommend.

Harvard is in Cambridge. You may want to stay at the Inn at Harvard. That is right on the campus university.

If you want to go into Boston just take the Red Line it picks up in Harvard Sq. It is 2.00 to ride the T with a ticket but you can by a pass at harvard station and add money to it and that will only cost you 1.70 for a train ride.

The best bang for your buck in Boston hotels is the Midtown Hotel. It is located in an ideal location for sight seeing for a good price. However it is not in Cambridge where Harvard is (that would be a T ride away).

If you mostly want a hotel to just sleep in - this is your place. It is not fancy at all but save your money and go to a spa on Newbury street instead if you want fancy! :)

First of all: Harvard is in Cambridge, not in Boston.

Second: how do you define "affordable"? How do you define "nice".

Whatever, the recommended transportation will be the local public transit system, the T. The Red Line subway and several bus lines stop at the main gate of Harvard.

Check out hotels.com and check out Bed & Breakfasts because those might be more affordable than a hotel. There are a bunch in the Boston/Cambridge area.

Check out www.tripadvisor.com for some reviews.
