Anyone know any cheaper nice hotels in downtown Boston area? Need to stay close to BankGarden Arena...?

I am going to see a show at the arena in downtown Boston, never been to the area before. Need to know any cheap, nice places to stay that will keep me close to the arena? Thank you!

There are no cheap hotels in downtown boston. None, zilch! Try the close-in burbs, like the Holiday Inn in Somerville, actually only a mile or so from the arena.

There is a small European 2 star style hotel, inexpensive and withjout pretentions, almost across the street of Banknorth Garden by the name of The Shawmut Inn. It gets pretty good reviews in internet-land; check it out.
