Do you need to stay in Boston or Cambridge? Technically, MIT is in Cambridge, so you might be better off opening up your search to that area, too.
I personally, love www.priceline.com and have had VERY VERY good luck getting a great room at a cheap rate. If you know anything about the Boston/Cambridge area, you can pretty much get anywhere as long as you are willing to walk to a "T" station (the subway). Most areas have something within a 5-10 minute walk. Good luck! |

You're not going to find anything in Boston for $50.00 per night, bottom line. Not unless you can use some sort of travel points or rewards if you have them for one specific hotel. . . .MIT is in Cambridge, which is just a few minutes from Boston. However, the cheapest thing to do would be to stay in Cambridge away from MIT, and take the T in. I know there is a Best Western, but I still think that's about $75.00 per night. Boston/Cambridge is an expensive place to stay. If you're a AAA member, try their website for good deals. Or, wait for last minute discounts. Try www.priceline.com or www.expedia.com.

check with the MIT housing office.
Tell them your coming into town. When you arrive they have a program to take care of you. They are not going to leave you stranded. That is if you are already a student at MIT. Otherwise, if you are just visiting, then go to Motel6 it is at the end of the Red Line in Braintree. cheapest rates around. |
