4 of us are taking a trip to Boston the second week of August. Does anyone have any recomendations for a hotel that's in a great area, but isn't that expensive? Any help is greatly apreciated!!

Anywhere directly in the city is going to be pricey. I suggest staying just slightly out of the city, but somewhere still very close by, and accesible by public transportation (the T), or a not expensive taxi ride. Try cities like Brighton, I know there is a Holiday Inn Express there which is VERY cheap, and a Marriot Courtyard Inn close by. Both of these are directly on the train system, but are probably half the price because you're a few stops away from the downtown tourist stuff. If you want to be right in the middle of everything then expect to pay a hefty price. Try the Raddison if so, it's right downtown, in the middle of the theater district, shopping, and nightclubs.

CHEAP
GREAT LOCATION PICK ONE! Boston hotels are outrageous. Oh, and if you are in the city, don't forget to add between $20 and $40 to park your car in their garage. I recommend people stay in the burbs and ride the "T" in. There are quite a few good hotels in Waltham along Route 128. A few exits away from the Riverside MBTA station. Park the car and ride the train in. |
