Default Things to do in Boston?

I am going to visit my boyfriend, who goes to Boston University, he's broke because he went to school there (over $40,000/year!!!) and I'm broke because I just opened my own business.... is there anything cheap/free we can do, inside or out of Boston... thanks
Oh and he's 21 but I'm only 20... so unless it's a "18 to enter, 21 to drink" place, we can't go there..

A lot of the clubs/bars are in the Boston Common area. You could go to some places in the north end. There is a lot to do that doesn't require money. Hang out in the Harvard Square area. Check out Fenway. If you take the train then you could check out the Natick mall. It's pretty fantastic.

edit: It's actually called the Natick Collection now.

Quincy Market and Fanueil Hall are a must see. There are push-carts and street performers. The following website details other fun things to do in Boston -

Enjoy!

The waterfront is free to walkabout. For cool and not too expensive, check out Davis Square in Somerville. It's what Harvard Square useta be.

Check out the Boston Magazine website (www.bostonmagazine.com)

We have our choices for Best Restaurants in Boston divided up into categories (and Affordable is one of them!!)

We also have an events page that includes tons of events in the Boston area that are currently going on, organized by date, and many of them are free, too! The website will tell you what things are free and affordable... You should definitely look at it.

Hope you have a great visit in Boston!

If you're into historical things, you should check out the Freedom Trail. Its a fun way to learn a little about the city and see the sights.
