Go to the big shopping area in the city, espically the Cheers bar/restaurant. Go to a Red Sox game or try to get a tour of Fenway if they're not playing when your roomates are there. There's also another mall downtown you can go to but it's not anywhere near as great as the big shopping area.

Walk around the Fanueil Hall area, there are tons of places to eat, drink and shop there. You can start earlier in the day and do some shopping, walk around the water or go to the aquarium. Then, as it gets later in the day you could eat some food, and have some drinks. Also, the downtown crossing area is real close so you could walk there for some extra things to see/do. You might want to take in a show in the theater district. Depends what you like to do.

Take them to Landsdowne St. and go to Jillians. Maybe do a Fenway tour, those are wicked cool! There's Kings Bowling in Back Bay, a walk down Newbury St. would be cool...it depends on what you're into.
