Where is the place (donwtown) to book for a hotel in barcelona?

Hello, as i never been to barcelona before, i would like to know where is the best place or location that is close to everything, so i can book a hotel there.

Head over to http://www.resideo.com/es/barcelona/ and click the "Check Availability" button. Choose your dates, submit the form, then sort the results by price (that'll put the cheapest places first).

You can then read about each hotel, view pics & book online.

Hotel 1898 is the #1 ranked hotel in the area over at tripadvisor.com

There's a really good hotel Ciutat del Prat. Its five minutes away from the Barcelona airport and cost about 80eruos per person, which is really good considering it's a 4 star hotel. They provide a free shuttle service to the airport from that hotel, and the bus stop is right next to it. Downtown it's like 10 min to the Ramblas. I think it's El prat de Llo bregat is the name of the river near it.
