All these luxury hotels serve luxury breakfast either through room service or at one of their restaurants.

Peninsula Bangkok
The Sukhothai

Personally, I will say The Sukhothai. Reasons: wide range of food and drinks, spacious dining hall, the hotel architecture is thai traditional deluxe, calm and peaceful water basin through the windows, good service. What more can you get?

Lunch counter at the Foodland Supermarket on Sukhumvit Road Soi 5 has a pretty good breakfast and for less than 70 baht too! Paying more for a breakfast doesn't guarantee that it will be any better!

I would advise you to take the Shangri-la Horizon experience! Your money is well spent! :)

Landmark on Sukhumvit Road. They have a giant international breakfast and it is damn expensive. I think a diet coke was like 200 baht.

The Grand Hyatt, and the Emporium Suite.
I think the Emporium is a little better. They serve American, Continental, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese breakfast in a buffet style all at once. Can eat for two hours and still there are more things to try.
