Some hotels will just take cash, some won't....if you are staying at the cheaper hotels they most likely will take just cash.....more up market usually not....

Cash is ok to pay at the hotel, but the problem is when you book the hotel, they need your credit card no. for security. Some hotels even ask you to make a money transfer as s deposite. At this moment all people have credit card, one without seem strange and unreliable.

I don't know where are you from. Anyway, you should book hotel in advance so that you can check in and stay.

If you need more help email me.

I have never used a credit card for a hotel in the past 11 years but I do stick with the cheaper (under 1000 baht) hotels. These hotels in this range do have air, hot water, private bath/toilet, usually a refrigerator, TV and maid service. For Pattaya the same style hotels will be much cheaper.

Sometimes when I had to use a more expensive place I had to put up a $100 cash deposit or equivalent to cover any problems that I might cause.

Stay in cheaper places and you won't have a problem. Some cheaper places will even reserve a room in your name without a simple email request.

You can even book a night in a hotel at one of the booking desks at the airport. I arrive after midnight, although I reserve a room via email, there are hotels that you can find in the Sukhumvit Road area around Sukhumvit Soi 11, even at midnight.

Book one night in a hotel from the booking desk at the airport and check out some other places in the morning. You shouldn't have a problem in June in Bangkok.

Good luck.
