Try the Asia hotel at Siam. Ive stayed here twice. The location is perfect and there is a skytrain terminal in the hotel on the 1st floor. Its a great location for everything and the prices are reasonable. You will get a good deal if you book this through asiarooms.com. Have fun

Asia Hotel, Rajathewee which is very next to Sky train. The area is in the center of Bangkok, you can run around in the city easily using Sky train and Subway.

Please note, this hotel also accept guests at any age and gender from any country, not only 55 years old man from the USA.

Have a great time,

Try the Montien, ( not the river one)
right off the Patpong road Market it's a short walk to the skytrain but is near plenty of bars restraunts that are easy to get home from

Yes, I also agree with Asia hotel. The location is perfect, skytrain on 2nd floor. Skaytrain 1 station or walk 10-15 minutes and you are in MBK shopping center. Quite close to Pantip Plaza, 10 minutes with tuk-tuk or walk 20 minutes. Breakfast buffet is also exellent, and dinner buffet every night for 400 B. Nice big room with everything you need. G'luck and have a nice trip!!

I guess you did not care for the Ratchadpisek Area hotels. Here's one that I was going to stay at during this next stay but, my plans changed. At USD 42-49 per night depending on the room.

it is supposed to be close to the Phra Khanong or the On Nut Skytrain station. I heard there are some clubs or pubs near there. The Central Bangna is not far.

Good luck
