'On Waitlist' means that that property does not have space available, but that they have put your name on a list, and will contact you when space is going to be available.
'Rates subject to taxes' means that you must pay taxes on top of the amount listed for the hotelroom; so, for example, if the rate listed is 3000 Baht, they may require you to pay 3200 Baht, if the taxes are 200 Baht. |

Usually websites like bangkok.com have a limited number of rooms available to them at the prices they quote, so waitlisting probably means (I'm not sure) they're waiting or checking for rooms to become available at that price. Hotel taxes and service charges in Thailand are usually 17%, so figure that in before you decide whether it's a good price or not, also be sure to check whether breakfast is included, that also can add a lot to the price. I've never used bangkok.com, but have used asiarooms.com and hoteltravel.com and can recommend both of them, sawadee.com is also good, these websites usually include taxes and breakfast in their prices, but check to be sure. Good luck.

If you are on the waitlist you will wait and with them I believe it can mean foreever.
See the link below and I contact them for the same Hotel. The websites belong to a company in Phuket and they do not do immediat reservation they call up the different wholesalers of the Bangkok region and see who has rooms available at this hotel. It works fine and within a few hours you know you have a room or not |

Waitlist means that a room is not immediately available, add taxes and service means adding 17% to the rates. There are some places that have 'Intsant Confirmation' and that means that you get the room instantly confirmed without having to wait around for confirmation or to know if a room is available or not.
