Can anyone tell me how much time I should plan on spending there in order to see everything? And I was reading reviews and one of them had said parking at the parking garages was really expensive. Does anyone have any info on that?

Parking in Baltimore is a bit expensive unless you don't mind the walk. If you look around you can find some that are not so bad. As for the aquarium. Give yourself a couple hours if you want to see the shows as well. They had a very nice Dolphin show when we went.

I was there over the weekend. It's a big place...I'd suggest 2 -3 hours to see the place and not rush around too much. Parking is VERY expensive. My cousin met us there and had to move her car twice to find legal street parking. Sorry I don't have any good suggestions on what to do about the parking.

Parking is a bit expensive. Count on about $25. I've lived in MD all my life and go to Baltimore frequently and haven't been able to get around it yet. There is a parking coupon on the aquarium website. http://www.aqua.org/discounts_parkingcoupon.html
Just bite the bullet and park at the Garage suggested. You're not really going to find anything much cheaper, especially with the coupon, and you may sacrifice security. I'd plan on 3 hours. Maybe 4 hours, if you plan on taking in the Dolphin show AND the "4-D" experience AND want to really stop at every aquarium display.. It also depends on the ages of the people you are with and their attention span and overall interest in marine biology and if you've ever been before. But it can be done in 3. Food is pricey there too, so plan accordingly and there is no where really near by for quick cheap food. Here's a tip. If you can, go Friday night at 5:00. It costs $8.00 to be there from 5-8. It runs until March 14 - and the show may be extra, not sure. But it'll save you nearly $20 a person!! http://www.aqua.org/discounts.html |

2-3 hours is a good amount of time to spend at the aquarium. When we go to the harbor we usually park in little Italy and walk, it may be a little way but the parking is free. Also parking in the garage is cheaper away from the harbor, try parking near the arena or theaters. And as a last resort there is always public transportation, the buses run 24 hours.
