Commute from washington DC Dulles airport to Baltimore airport in regular weekdays?

What is the fastest way to commute from washington DC Dulles airport to Baltimore airport in regular weekdays during office hours?

I just checked to see if there's an airport shuttle bus that connects the two--there doesn't seem to be. All other public transportation options, such as shuttle bus to the Washington Metro, subway into DC, and then a bus or train to BWI Airport, would likely take much too long to do on a daily basis.

I think your only reasonable option is to drive. It won't be a good drive, at least during rush hours. It will probably take you well over an hour--more when there are traffic tieups. The route would probably be Dulles Access Road to the Washington Beltway, the Beltway into Maryland, and then I-95 to BWI Airport. There may be some alternative routes that could shave off a few minutes.

There is no easy way. Any way you go, you're going to be stuck in traffic for -- potentially -- hours. No one in the DC-Baltimore metropolitan area would consider this a reasonable drive. You'd be better off living in New Jersey and taking Amtrak down to BWI each day.

Would not do it. I have lived in a lot of places in the US, including LA, and in my opinion DC has by far the worst traffic. For an example, when I lived there several year ago I worked at night in Chantilly, VA just south of Dulles and lived in Arlington, about 22 miles. An average day (going home with the traffic heading in that direction) it would take me at least an hour, any problems on any main road and it would last a few hours. The problem, as I see it, in DC is outside of DC itself. It is not in a grid like pattern. There are basically no side roads to bypass traffic. I see this as virtually an impossible daily commute.

There is only one way and that is to drive. The drive itself can become a nightmare.

Dont lisen to any body else I have LIved IN Dc baltimore metro all my life and my familey orinaley came from poolesville md..during 9:00 to 2:30 there is no back up unless there is a aceiddent u take express way to 495 and take 495 to b-more wash parkway aka kenilwoth ave north and get ur way 2 wer the sign say's, bwi airport exit and u will be there okay if u need thurther info ask me
