I am seriously thinking about travelling to Australia/New Zealand.
The times I would like to travel are mid November to mid January. I went to Australia Dec 04 and went up the east coast. And then went to Alice Springs. I would like to try other places in Australia or New Zealand. Any offers? P.S., I want to stop Christmas and New Year in Sydney. Thanks Do they do a Greyhound Bus from Sydney to Melbourne Adelaide? In other words up the east coast |

I think you mean any advice! not offers
from November to xmas - you can go down the east coast instead go to Melbourne drive along the way stop at beautiful NSW south coast area nice little beaches in between, Batemans Bay, Callala Bay, Kiama, Ulladulla to name a few on the way from Sydney to Melbourne plenty of things to do in Melbourne and on the outskirts of Melbourne go to a place called Glenbar Station you can swim, canoe, fish, camp, hike - nice place to stop and have a rest. and return to Sydney before xmas and stay until new years day. YEEHAAA! CMON DOWN TO THE GREAT SOUTHERN LAND |

Hi there
Well you are travelling the right time - nice and hot summer. Train ride is much better than 'Greyhound' Go to http://www.gsr.com.au . . . but to compare prices http://www.greyhound.com.au/default.aspx My top spots for Aussie is: Yes Cairns is in the tropics; it does rain a lot in the ‘rainy season’, but not every day and night. – Jellyfish it no problems if you swim in the nets, or go out on the great barrier reef snorkelling, go and find Nemo! Cairns – http://www.tropicalaustralia.com.au/things_to_do_and_see Port Douglas - http://www.portdouglaseguide.com/ http://www.vcentres.com.au/port-douglas/ Caloundra is REALLY nice - http://www.caloundratourism.com.au/index.php and Steve Irwin’s Zoo is only a skip and a jump from there - http://www.australiazoo.com.au Also NZ (used to live there for 30 years) Best bet the South Island. Most international flights come into Christchurch.. - Christchurch, the garden city - http://www.christchurchnz.net/visitchch so there you can either go North up the top of the south island: Marlborough / Picton – The Sounds - http://www.destinationmarlborough.com/ Nelson – http://www.nelsonnz.com Abel Tasman National Park, http://www.doc.govt.nz/templates/PlaceProfile.aspx?id=38455 Golden sand beaches http://www.kaiteriteribeach.co.nz , Awaroa Lodge, http://www.awaroalodge.co.nz (best honeymoon place!) swim with the seals, http://www.sealswim.com or south Franz Joseph Glacier - http://www.franzjosefglacier.com (west coast, little detour) Queenstown – Milford Sounds, http://www.fiordland.org.nz – Bungy jumping, AJ Hackett - http://www.ajhackett.co.nz Wanaka – Lake Wanaka - http://www.lakewanaka.co.nz/index.cfm/Home Happy honeymooning! . |
