Qantas has a direct flight (plane will stop in Darwin but you don't have to change airplanes) QF123 that operates on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Sydney to Mumbai. The total trip duration that varies from 14h 35min to 14h 45min. Also, airlines are changing their timetable on March 25 (Sunday). The return trip is non-stop with flight time of 12h 15min to 12h 20min.
(Now to March 24 / Sydney - Darwin - Mumbai) Qantas QF123 departs SYD at 10:10 and arrives in DRW at 13:00 after a 4h 00min flight. Then QF123 leaves DRW at 14:10 and lands in BOM at 19:15 with a flight time of 9h 05min with a total trip duration of 14h 35min. (Now to March 24 / Mumbai - Sydney) Qantas stops in Darwin for outbound flights only, so the return trip is a non-stop flight from BOM to SYD and it operates only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. QF124 departs BOM at 20:45 and arrives in SYD at 14:35 after a 12h 20min flight. (March 25 & after / Sydney - Darwin - Mumbai) QF123 departs SYD at 9:35 and arrives in DRW at 13:40 with a flight time of 4h 35min, then it takes off at 14:50 and arrives in BOM at 19:50 after a 9 hour flight for a total trip duration of 14h 45min. QF124 departs BOM at 21:25 and arrives in SYD at 14:10 after a 12h 15min flight. These are the only direct and non-stop flights between India and Australia. If you are traveling to/from other cities in India and Australia, you'll have to stop in airports in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, etc. |
