Default Is £2000 GBP enough to go travelling in australia for 7 months?

Hi, i hav had such mixed feedback on this subject and reali want to no how much to take, this will be just spending money so for food hostels etc, i already hav a flight sorted. Please help if you can.
I no 20,000 is not right on the basis that others hav doen it alot cheaper, maybe i do need more, has anyone atch been lately

Nowhere near enough I'm afraid. I spent about £6k for 9 months 8 years ago so it will definitely cost more now.

that would last about 8 weeks
less in the city. how long would that money last travelling in the uk?
ive lived in both countries and the accomadation may be a little cheaper but the cost of the rest of things is roughly the same. pints of lager in sydney are $7.50+

you could get a job while your here

not really, why not apply for a working holiday visa so you can pick up casual work as you travel
