Has anybody here been traveling in Australia? please help?

Im off traveling in November, at the mo i will be spending 7 weeks in oz and i unsure what sort of spending money i will need to get me by for accomendation, food and doing things, we will also be staying in hostels on are travels. i need to ruffley know what sort of money i will need per week.

any help and advice will be a great help, thanks

Sydney is very expensive but other parts like Melbourne or Perth is much more cheaper, the pound is very strong to Austuralian Dollar, Food is very tasty and cheap and I think accomodation is cheap as well, visit sites on Australia as Wikipedia, watch videos on Youtube about it and get more info from Google.

the answer to this question varys b/c how expensive your accomedation, food and others will be. it could cost thousands or cost a little over a thousand.

$50/day will just get you by without too much traveling or activites and minimalist food, $100/day you can really enjoy yourself and do more activities. More than that obviously even better!
