Default Im going travelling around the east coast of Australia for 3 months.....?

Me and my girlfriend are flying from London to Sydney on the 4th of February,we are travelling up to brisbane by coach, which we plan to do in 4 weeks.

Then spending the month of march in Brisbane with Friends, and then travelling up to Cairns (through April) , which we also plan to do in 4 weeks.

Are there any places you would recommend along the east coast run?

Any music events and anything happen within the months we will be travelling?

Any help would be great.

Thank you

I took a trip to Sydney last year and it was beautiful. While I was making a checklist of items I would need to bring with me and started to gather them up, I came across my passport. I just recently got my passport renewed so that wasn't an issue but thought that I may need a visa. Sure enough, tourist need a visa to Australia. Luckily for me, they are electronic and emailed which worked out since I only had 2 days before my trip when it dawned on me. The point is make sure you remember to get a visa. If your not sure how to get the visa, I went through visahq.com and got my visa right away. It was the first time I got an electronic visa so it was new to me too but they did a great job. Have a great trip! I wish I was able to go back soon.

I'm jealous! I did that trip 6 years ago and would love go back! I would really recommend the Blue Mountains (just outside Sydney), Byron Bay is a really spiritual place and you can go whale watching, Noosa is a really nice beach resort near Brisbane, Fraser Island is amazing (we did a jeep safari and camped out, there's lakes, beaches and rain forest all on this small island, we also saw some wild dingos), Misson Beach is a small resort but if you fancy a parachute jump my friend did one there and landed on the beach! From Airlie Beach we visited the Whitsunday Islands (which are amazing, this was the highlight of my whole trip!!) and stayed aboard the British Defender (a racing maxi which was in the Whitbread around the world race, link is below for Southern Cross sailing adventures), we also visited the great barrier reef from Cairns. I hope that helps, have a fab adventure!!

i recommend Coffs Harbour
I come from near London and I have family out there
you can swim in the sea (just find the beach with the railings to keep the sharks away ((no joke!)) )
there is a Porpoise pool with dolphins and other animals
go on this website
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffs_Harbour,_New_South_Wales
its great there
have fun in Australia
(watch out it will be hot as it will be summer/autumn)

I did it last year and had the best time.
Sydney is quite like London but with great weather and beaches. The Kings cross area has some good hostels (the asylum is meant to be best but we stayed at great Aussie backpackers and it was one of the best hostels we stayed at).
Byron bay is beautiful-one of the best places along with the sunshine coast.Check out Mooloolaba in sunny coast area and Noosa. Also close to Australia zoo which is pretty cool to check out all Steve irwin's work.
The gold coast is worth a stop too-Draculas is worth checking out.
My only advise would be try and cut time in Brisbaine down a little-there isn't as much to do there a other places.
Have fun!
