Hi Im going to Australia for a few weeks next week and just wondered if you have to have had any jabs before being allowed to enter the country? Ive read that if you have been in a diseased country within a certain amount of time prior to entering australia then you have to have had a jab, what countries are these?
Im flying from UK but am planning on going via Bangkok (only about 4 hours between flights), is this ok? There are also plenty of flights that go via america (with only a few hours in between flights too) is this also ok? Sorry Im just panicing about the little things as my trip draws closer!!! |

not a problem. come and see us and enjoy your time here.
for future travel you need to check the countries you are going to or through. a few hours between flights is not a problem but if you spend time in a country that is say renowned for yellow fever etc you may require vaccinations. the best advice i can give is to go into a web site for the country/countries you want to visit and there is usually a link on them on what vaccinations or diseases etc are there. a good site in oz is smart traveller.com.au or something similar not actually sure of the web address. just go into Australia and you should find something. you will also need to be aware of what you can and cannot bring into the country and this will be available on these sites. good luck and enjoy your holiday. |

i was just looking up about this yesterday! You wont need a jab! If were in certain countrys 6 days prior to arrival in oz u would need yellow fever jab! But change over in Bangkok is fine im sure!! Places i seen on the list was Africa and South Afirca cant renmebr the rest. But also now of people that did route your doing and needed no jabs! If you were planning on staying in Bangkok for a bit you would need jabs for there! But not Oz! Have Fun!! x
