Australia has most things that people overseas would love. In Queensland there is the beautiful beaches, islands, rainforests and barrier reef for diving or snorkling. Many people get their dive masters here. Then there is the desert and Uluru, an ancient aboriginal site in the red centre f the country. NSW has some picturesque countryside as well as the beautiful harbour and Victoria has some great historic towns and a must see The Great Ocean Road. If you are into crocodiles then Kakadu in the northern Territory is the place. If you are lucky you can swim with dolphins in Byron Bay. I would recommend the following places for young people - start in Sydney, make your way up the coast to Byron Bay, stop off at Fraser Island if you can in Queensland, before flying to Cairns and the Barrier reef. If you have time, fly to Melbourne and take a trip down the great ocean road and then to South Australia (great wines) to Uluru. From there you can fly to Kakadu. Be aware that distances are far between cities. Most students take "the dog" up the coast from Sydney, which is the nickname for the Greyhound Bus Service.

where in Australia? Its a HUGE country, I can tell you about Sydney, I moved in last year, and it is EXPENSIVE! very very expensive, and people drink awfully a lot! but if you wanna come for a visit, its got nice places and great weather (except when it goes humid) distances between different parts of Sydney are vast and you must travel by train or by car, the blue mountains are worth visiting, they say there are a lot of museums in sydney, but i have no interest so i dont know for sure, there is a small zoo and an aquarium, be prepared to pay 30-50 dollars to get in! the harbour bridge is amazing especially at night, the opera house is great too, the buildings however really really lack imagination, and night lights (which should be spectacular) are not the least impressive...
