Traveling overland from India to Australia....?

has anyone reading this ever travelled over land form India to Australia? Sleeper trains, coaches and boats? How was it? What route did you take? How much did it cost?
If you read the question in detail, it does say "boat" aswell, ie, excluding air travel.

no land between india and australia - just a huge ocean.
Perhaps you mean travel by surface transport.

Australia is the largest island/continent in the world and shares no borders with any country. Youd have to go by plane or boat, plane would be much much cheaper

You COULD walk - but you'd need a very long snorkel.

If you live in UK watch Charley Boorman's By any Means on the BBC. He travelled from Ireland to Sydney by any means except by air. He only used local transport.
