I'm traveling around Australia for two weeks from the U.S. What are good cell phone options?

I currently have Verizon, and it looks like I can get set up with an international roaming package--but calls are $2.50 a minute, which seems a bit pricey. Are there other, less expensive cell phone options for international travelers? What would you recommend? I'll be traveling for just two weeks.

Leave it home. wait until you get over there and stop and buy prepaid... Otherwise its just 2 weeks. you will just fine without a cell phone for 2 weeks
