b/c i was looking through the undergrad catalog and i couldn't find it, but then again i may have been looking for it in the wrong place.
can you help me find it heres the website http://www.utexas.edu i am currently attending a community college i really want to go there, but if they don't have it whats the point of going there... i already got everything planned where i was gonna with and with who ...me and my best friends since 5th & 7th grade were gonna be roommates over there ( me and 2 of my friends) |

There is no such thing as a premed major or degree. You can major in whatever you like (it doesn't even have to be a science, really), and there is a set of premed prerequisite courses that you take.
Roughly speaking, the premed courses are 1 year of the following (with labs): biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. Some schools require math, english, biochem, etc. but those are the main courses. There is no possible way that UofT does not offer these courses. Hey! I currently attend UT and I love it! Here is a pre-med timeline off of the website.
http://cns.utexas.edu/hpo/File/files/PMTimeline.pdf It gives you the details on what classes are acceptable and how long it should take you. Also, check with the med schools you are planning to attend after your undergrad because they may have some prerequisites of their own. Good luck! |
