Hedgehogs in Austin, Texas?

I'm moving to Austin soon, and I'm thinking of getting a hedgehog. I'd like to know if it's legal in Austin, and I'd also like to know where I can get one. I've looked for breeders, but I can't find one that's in Austin, or any city nearby Austin.

I used to babysit animals for my backyard neighbors when I lived in Austin. At one time they had a hedgehog (unfortunately she died) and I never questioned whether it was legal or not. She was really cute but not that interactive with me. I'm not sure where they got her.
