Are There Any Hotels In The Austin TX Area??

I am trying to plan a trip to Austin but am having trouble finding hotels that arent too expensive....I was wondering if anyone knew of any hotels that are around $50.00 or so......Every hotel that I checked into are ranging in the 80.00 and up, Yikes!!!!!

Check out www.Hotels.com. I just did the search, and found at least 14 hotels priced below $50.00. Good luck.

Well you can stay at a Motel. Not many hotels there are cheap.

if you are looking for something in the $50 range you will only be able to find places like motel 6, the extended stay places, and such. these will all be located along I-35 running through austin and definately NOT downtown. if you are looking to stay downtown, you need to at least double or triple your price range. also, consider when you are visiting. if something big is going on in town, with the university, or something, prices will go up. if you are just wanting to go during spring break time, check your trip schedule against SXSW schedule. its possible you are going at the same time which means few rooms and more expensive.
